Origin Hybrid vs The New Koala

Origin Hybrid Mattress

• Hybrid mattress with latex at the top

• Highly rate for Comfort & Cooling from randomised test

• Good Value for Quality

• 7-zone support

Origin’s strength lies in the quality and build of their product. The innovative design of the product is also one of the reasons for its popularity amongst blind brand tests. Origin has managed to engineer quite an impressive product that fulfils the needs of the human body for the best sleep.

The New Koala Mattress

•  Allowed number of returns per household under trial (2)

• Same-day delivery

•  Eco-friendly foam

The New Koala mattress is one of the most well-known mattress in a box brands on the Australian market. But does the koala mattress live up to the hype?

CONCLUSION

Both the Origin mattress (German manufactured) and the Noa mattress (China manufactured) share similar price points and provide good comfort and support that live up to its price tag. Even then, the Origin mattress employs a 7-zone support that addresses the different needs of pressure zones.

Like the Sleeping Duck Mattress, the Noa hybrid mattress does not allow machine washing for its cover. Worse, the cover cannot be removed unlike the Origin mattress and Emma Mattress. Hence, a mattress protector is recommended when using the Noa hybrid mattress. This may prove to be very inconvenient if there are spillages or stains on the cover itself.

Origin mattress, Sleeping Duck mattress and Noa mattress uses foam layers and pocket springs. However, Origin wins this round again as it has layers specifically to prevent slipping and dipping at the sides. This may seem like a small problem, however, it is a problem faced by most foam using companies. By solving this problem, Origin proves more durable and long-lasting then both the Sleeping Duck mattress and Noa mattress.

However, if you are looking at a mattress that provides both comfort and health benefits for your body, Origin will be the better deal as it is recommended and approved by health professionals and sleep experts. Its mattress is ideal for everyone especially people with back and joint pain.

Weighing the benefits that each one has to offer, the Origin mattress is the one to go for (especially during the sale period). Considering the similar price points, the convenience of being able to machine-wash the cover of the Origin mattress is crucial as the Noa mattress only allows for spot cleaning which is less effective. Origin has offers 120 nights trial and 15 years warranty so there’s little reason not to give the Origin Mattress a shot before trying an alternative.

CONCLUSION

The New Koala mattress offers something that very few mattress companies provide. Same-day delivery. When it comes to fast delivery the koala mattress can even do it in 4 hours. However, it is still not a game changer as the Origin and Emma mattress offers more for a similar price. If you are rushing to buy a mattress the New Koala mattress will be the go to option. However, if you are not, it will be better to take a look at the other two mattresses.

Like the Emma mattress, the New Koala mattress is built with foam layers. This makes the mattress retain heat more when compared to mattresses that uses springs. So on a hot weather it may prove to be uncomfortable. Hence, retaining more heat. In contrast, the hybrid nature of the Origin mattress makes it more cooling and durable than an all-foam mattress.

One thing to note. The New Koala mattress, like the Sleeping Duck Mattress and the Noa hybrid mattress, does not allow machine washing for its cover. This may prove to be very inconvenient if there are spillages or stains on the cover itself.

In addition, the Origin mattress offers comfort and great support in the form of multi-zone firmness (7 zones) that assures necessary counter-pressure is provided in the appropriate areas. However, The New Koala mattress does not have multi-zone support. In terms of breathability, Origin mattress promotes better airflow for heat regulation.

Weighing the benefits that each one has to offer, the Origin mattress is the one to go for (especially during the sale period). In addition, if you consider both health benefits and comfort,  Origin is the clear choice considering it being approved by health professionals. In addition, Origin innovates their products with German sleep experts and also through consumer polls, releasing only the best product to the world. The slight price difference between Origin matress and the New Koala mattress will also make it  more worth it. With the 120 night trial and 15 year warranty, there’s little reason not to give the Origin Mattress a shot before trying an alternative.
